Counting foreign visitors to Jung-gu, Busan over twelve weeks, Wednesday is the quietest day you can actually go and Sunday the busiest — a difference of about 15%. These are district-wide figures rather than a headcount at the gate, so treat them as a tendency.
Opening hours are 19:30 to 23:30. It stays open into the evening, which is usually the calmest and coolest time to come. Tour groups tend to arrive mid-morning and again after lunch; the first hour after opening is normally the quietest stretch of any day.
Entry is free. Nothing needs to be booked or queued for in advance.
Bring cash. Cards are not reliably accepted here. Small notes are easier than large ones — a ₩50,000 note for a ₩3,000 purchase is awkward at a market stall.
